Background:
Faris’Vale’Nunuodo was born into a colonial family on Outer Rim world of Thule.
The youngest of three, Faris was intelligent and driven. He dreamed of climbing
the ranks of House Nunuodo to become one of its power brokers. Throwing himself
into his studies, his dedication and intelligence drew the attention colony’s
administrator. Impressed, the Administrator sponsored the boy and secured him a
spot in the Administrative Academy on the Chiss homeworld of Csilla. Jubilant at
the recognition of his ability and the blossoming of his future career, Faris
quickly rose to the top of his class.
However weeks after Faris’s seventeenth birthday, the teenager was inexplicably
overtaken by a moment of blind patriotism and enlisted in the CEDF on campus.
Within hours he realized to his horror that he had potentially sabotaged his
career in the Nunuodo House. By enlisting he had, from a certain point of view,
dismissed the opportunity given to him by the colonial Administrator and pursued
his own personal career in the CEDF.
After a battery of exams and a review of his academic record, Faris was shipped
off to flight school. For eight months Faris learned starship combat, tactics
and was selected for advanced classes in logistical support. Upon graduation the
reluctant cadet was assigned to a carrier that patrolled the edge long stretch
of Ascendancy space that lay on the edge of the galaxy.
It was during his time aboard the carrier that he met his future wife,
Chaf’suva’Nunuodo a deck officer. At first she brushed him off as intellectual
snob, but as the months wore on they became friends and then secretly lovers.
Despite the fact he did not want to be in the military he applied himself with
the same vigour he did at the Administrative Academy. Once again he impressed
his superiors with his drive and intelligence and within a year he was
transferred off the carrier and moved to a desk job at CEDF HQ as an External
Affairs Analyst.
When word reached External Affairs from the Ruling Council that the Ascendancy
was going to enter into an un-official alliance with the Empire, the CEDF
revamped and expanded its Intellegence wing. To exploit the opportunity
presented by the collaboration, Faris was assigned to a newly expanded External
Affairs installation on Thule to help develop what would one day evolve into
Thrawn’s House Phalanx. Now a Lieutenant, Faris returned home to his proud
parents and found his older siblings married with children. He also found
Chaf’Suva; she had resigned form the CEDF and joined colony’s Phalanx in the
hopes of reuniting with him. As the two lovers were now in separate branches of
the military, they rekindled their romance and were married a little over a
year. Less then six months after their marriage, Suva announced she was
pregnant.
On Thule, Faris sifted through intelligence gained through discreet dealings
with smugglers and misanthropes. As time past he began to construct a picture of
fermenting rebellion in the Empire and that it would it most likely be based in
the Outer Rim. He and his colleagues came to the conclusion that the Rebellion
could pose a serious threat to the Empire and recommended more aggressive spying
and reconnaissance on the growing movement.
It was at this time tragedy struck Faris’s family; his wife Suva died of food
poisoning. Devastated at the lose of his wife and emotionally unwilling to raise
his son during his grieving, Faris sent his four year old son to live with his
sister who had moved to Csilla.
In the midst of the tragedy CEDF High Command accepted the recommendation of
increased observation of the Rebellion and decided that they wanted an operative
placed inside the Rebellion. Faris was selected to undert ake
the assignment because of his service in External Affairs, his intelligence and
his recent family tragedy. He was quietly transferred into Thrawn’s House
Phalanx and underwent intensive training in covert ops and alien languages by a
detachment from Imperial Intelligence.
Upon the completion of his training Faris returned to the Outer Rim and began
his new life as an Usil Ser’set on the rough and tumble world of Ord Mantell.
However, within days he was picked up in an Imperial dragnet looking for
militant dissidents. While awaiting interrogation, a Rebel strike team broke
into the garrison and freed the prisoners. He later learned that one of the
prisoners had been the leader of the local sector Force. Seeing an opportunity
to gain entrance into the fledging Rebellion, Usil stuck with the rebels who had
rescued him, offering up his administrative skills and piloting ability.
Because of the short supply of qualified individuals on the Outer Rim, Usil
quickly rose in ranks of the sector force. To the Rebels the mysterious, quiet
alien was adept at logistics and could get supplies too where they were needed
most; even if he had to fly them there himself. He spent several years in and
around the Ord Mantell Sector, running supplies and helping organize cells. But
as the Empire expanded, Usil was bounced across the Outer Rim. He became the
trusted go-to organizer who wasn’t afraid of a fire fight or running a blockade
personally if it meant getting the job done. During this time Usil discreetly
used his connections to funnel information about the Empire and the Rebellion
back to his superiors.
With the destruction of Alderaan, Usil was rapidly bumped up to role of diplomat
and military attaché. The Alliance High Command needed ever talented person they
could get their hands on with the rapid escalation of the civil war. Becoming a
diplomatic attaché for the military, he joined the front line diplomats sent
into hot zones and behind enemy lines to open up lines of dialogue for the
Alliance. In the chaos that has swept the galaxy since Palapatine’s death, Usil
has become more and more isolated from his true superiors as he assumes more and
more responsibilities in the Alliance.
Personality:
Usil/Faris is generally polite but he does not suffer fools. He is intelligent
and driven and is always willing to listen to whatever a person has to say;
however he rarely offers up any personal information about himself or his
people.

Usil/Faris prefers Corellian model starships for their reliability and general
low profile.
Skills & Talents:
Usil/Faris is a very capable pilot, from his time in the CEDF and years of
running Imperial blockades and patrols. He is also an intelligent and pragmatic
diplomat; able to speak Bothan, Basic, Huttese and can understand Rodian and
Sullustese.

blaster pistol (stylish design favoured by diplomats and nobles)
